HAIL FRENCH FRIES!
An Ode, By Ben Reed

Thy slender form surrounds me
fills my body with ectasy
O French Fries!  O French Fries!

Grease is thy dress
and salt thine jewels
O French Fries!  O French Fries!

Crispy
Crunchy
Golden
OOOOOh French Fries!

Though tho clog my heart
the blessing of taste you do impart
O  French Fries!  O French Fries!

But now thy name be ‘Freedom Fries’
O thousand hells, what caused this to be?
O French Fries! O French Fries!
There was a school project in...10th grade I believe where we had to make a poetry anthology. I ended up making mine Lord of the Rings themed, with Odes to the One Ring and J.R.R. Tolkien, if I remember correctly. In anycase I decided to write this one just for one. I've honestly completely forgotten it up to this moment, but a random comment from a friend caused me to think about it. Don't expect any amazing poetic devices from this piece, it was a quickie.

You actually made french fries sound very enticing - not a french fry fan myself but after reading that, I'm def. hungry!! I really like the descriptive prose you use here!!
